The Digital Press Operator runs high volume digital presses, such as HP Indigo, Xerox, or similar equipment. This operator is a self-motivated individual who takes a flexible approach to managing workloads and demands and ensures detailed attention is paid to all work performed. The work will be fast-paced, and a high level of focus is essential with substantial emphasis on producing a quality printed product rapidly and efficiently.
High school degree or GED required.
HP Digital Press Series 3 or 4 experience preferred.
HP Shared Maintenance training a plus.
Proven leadership skills
Mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools required.
Knowledge and understanding of printing processes, including substrates characteristics and limitations.
Knowledge of basic color theory, color management, color spaces and ICC color helpful.
Ability to read, write and interpret instructions, identify problems and missing information.
Good verbal communication and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Must be familiar with PDF and PostScript.
Experience with imposition helpful.
Must be a team player working in a fast-paced environment.
Able to give and follow written and verbal instructions.
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
Must be able to work a 12 hrs shift.
Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
Must have flexibility to learn and use new technologies.
Must be able to properly lift 10 to 50 lbs. to shoulder height.
Must be able to stand continuously through an 12 hour shift.
Excellent attendance record.
