Responsibilities

The ultimate objective is to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth.

Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.

Collaborate and give feedback related with slow movers’ products (SKUs rationalization).

Place appropriate orders (POs) to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands.

Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.

Liaise with Sales team & the Sr. BATM Manager to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.

Team up with local Brand Activation team to work on relevant assets to develop supporting materials for specific categories.

Ability to work with more than one category.

Insights

Applies deep understanding of the consumer to both short and long-term decisions. Links independent insight and observations to form a holistic, proprietary understanding of the consumer and leverages as a competitive advantage.

Educates others on the consumer and marketplace.

Responsible to maintain all the competitors’ information up to date to flank their actions or simply be always ahead of the game.

Identifies gaps in marketplace understanding and champions analyses to request the Category Regional team to fill these gaps.

Develops deep category knowledge across multiple categories and brands.

Pricing

Conduct pricing audits to evaluate opportunities to extract maximum value from the market and recommend audit cadence, action steps and communicates strategy across channels.

Identifies key promotional windows based on target consumer behavior and recommends promotion depth and frequency guidelines.

Analyzes shopper insights and market data to recommend pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails for key SKUs or categories.

Applies price-modeling information to manage price. Utilizes product, pack configurations and brand architecture to exploit price ladder.

Participates in pricing audits to evaluate opportunities to extract maximum value from the market.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree, MBA Preferred.

4-7 years of equivalent marketing experience.

20% travel required.

Has worked on a business with global or international exposure.

Proven experience as category manager or similar role.

Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles.

Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods

An analytical mind with a strategic ability

Excellent communication and people skills

Recommending pricing strategies and guardrails

Successfully launched several new products, which include all the category previous analysis through commercialization and in-market success. Has successfully managed a product portfolio.

Strong decision-making background in ambiguous environments with a bias for action.

Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to develop materials for corporate strategy and business review meetings.

Bilingual (English & Spanish) - Portuguese highly desirable
