Responsibilities

Our Staff Accountant will be responsible for various Fixed Asset accounting and reporting, as well as month end-related journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other month end responsibilities.

THIS INCLUDES:

Analysis of expenditures/asset purchases per individual CER¿s to properly identify individual assets, reconcile to plant provided asset tag listings and input to Fixed Asset sub-system (Oracle) with proper asset classification code.

Review and reconciliation of Fixed Asset balance sheet accounts; including CIP maintenance and reconciliation, performance of additions, transfers and retirements in Fixed Asset sub-ledger system.

Other various Fixed Asset duties as assigned

Performing various month-end close duties including intercompany invoicing, corporate expense allocations, manual journal entry input, and financial statement preparation and review

Preparation of various monthly account reconciliations, including the research and resolution of reconciling items

Perform other routine and non-routine Corporate Accounting functions as directed by the Assistant Corporate Controller or the VP/Controller (examples include analysis of property tax accruals and balance sheet liability, unclaimed property reporting and assistance with internal management reporting process)

Qualifications

4-year degree in Accounting

1+ years of related experience

Excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and ability to learn database concepts

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels and functions in the organization

Ability to plan, organize and implement

Solid aptitude for numbers, strong organizational and attention to detail skills

Solid analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to participate in difficult prioritization and strategic decisions

Travel: 5 -10%

Preferred:

Experience with Oracle Financials and budgeting/reporting systems

Ability to develop and communicate a compelling and inspired vision

Ability to help develop a vision and strategy, communicate to others, and lead to accomplish

Ability to develop enhanced systems, processes and data/workflow vision, requirements and approach based on business strategy and technology trends/best practices
