Position Overview

This position provides support to the Plant Accountant for the manufacturing departments at Owatonna and Eagan.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include:

*Monthly Accounting Close

*Forecasting and Annual Plan

*Business Metrics - Provide analysis and reporting to functional business partners

*Make updates to precious metal inventory system for all Jostens Jewelry locations

*Provide support to Plant Accountant on physical inventory reconciliation

*Purchasing/Accounts Payable duties include:

Communicate with vendors on purchase orders and invoice payment

Negotiate prices with vendor, including prices of copper, zinc, and experimental alloys

Create Purchase Orders for Eagan/Refinery & process invoices for payment

*Implement process improvements in the finance area and support operational process improvements

*Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests

*Manage office supply cost and quantities, and act as plant support and contact for activities, and special events

Qualifications

*Bachelors degree in Accounting and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent combination

of education and experience

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with all

levels and functions in the organization

*Excellent technical skills in accounting, with strong systems aptitude and PC skills

*Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
