Production Supervisor/Operations Leader 6th Shift (12 hour nights):

Hours: 5:45pm - 6:00am, rotating nights (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)

Job Summary :

Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, perform diversified duties pertaining to the management of day-to-day operations of a manufacturing work center. Specific responsibilities include supervision of hourly associates; monitoring compliance with corporate and department goals; providing guidance, direction, and technical advice to staff; training and developing staff; educating associates on safety awareness; resolving operational and staffing issues; analyzing and developing process improvement plans; and performing other similar duties to support the production activities of the department.

Scope:

Must stay within the shift guidelines associated with department Operating Budget; ensure accurate and productive throughput; and maintain a level of confidentiality in regard to employee information, new products, financials and legal compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. BS degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field strongly preferred.

  • Must have strong background in maintenance and quality. Excellent analytical skills and experience with process improvement essential.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years management experience with increasing responsibility required. Experience in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment also required.

  • Strong leadership/management skills including the ability to balance efficient and productive operations with effective administration. Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills essential.

  • Must be able to relate well to others using strong communication, interpersonal, diplomacy, leadership and related skills. Excellent written communication skills also required.

  • The energy, enthusiasm, time and dedication to take on a fast-paced, demanding, ever-changing and highly rewarding challenge.
